🧩 How to Solve the Rubik’s Cube 3×3 – The Easy Way for Beginners
If you’ve ever picked up a Rubik’s Cube and thought, “How in the world do people solve this?”—you’re not alone. The 3×3 Rubik’s Cube looks intimidating, but with the right method, anyone can solve it. In this post, I’ll walk you through a simple, beginner-friendly solution that breaks it down into easy steps.
🔹 Step 1: Solve the White Cross
Start with the white face. Make a white cross by matching white edge pieces with the center. Don’t just get them on top—make sure the adjacent colors match the center pieces on the sides.
👉 Tip: The center pieces never move. Use them as a guide.
🔹 Step 2: Solve the White Corners
Now place the white corner pieces (with white + 2 other colors) between the correct centers. Use this simple move until the corner goes in the right spot:
R’ D’ R D
(Repeat until the white sticker is on the bottom face)
🔹 Step 3: Solve the Middle Layer Edges
Turn the cube upside down so the white face is on the bottom. Now focus on the middle layer.
Find an edge piece on the top layer without yellow and match it with the center color.
Use these algorithms to move it left or right:
-
Left: U’ L’ U L U F U’ F’
-
Right: U R U’ R’ U’ F’ U F
🔹 Step 4: Make a Yellow Cross
Now solve the yellow cross on top. Don’t worry about corner pieces yet—just the edges.
Use this algorithm to form the cross (do it 1–3 times depending on your case):
F R U R’ U’ F’
🔹 Step 5: Solve the Yellow Corners
Use this move to position the yellow corners, even if they’re not correctly rotated yet:
U R U’ L’ U R’ U’ L
Repeat until the corners are in the right place.
🔹 Step 6: Rotate the Yellow Corners
Finally, rotate the yellow corners one by one using the same algorithm from Step 2:
R’ D’ R D
Keep the rest of the cube steady and only rotate the top layer to move to the next corner.
✅ You Did It!
Congrats! You’ve just solved the Rubik’s Cube using the beginner method. 🎉
Don’t worry if it took a while—solving the cube is about patience, practice, and pattern recognition. The more you do it, the faster and more intuitive it becomes.
